About us
The Institution
A private foundation in the public interest that organizes fairs and congresses, manages the fairground in Lleida and collaborates with the economic activities of the territory.
The Foundation
Fundació La Fira de Lleida
The fair activity in Lleida has been documented since 1232, but the institution as we know it was born in the sixties, when the Lleida fair institution was created and it joined the Association of Spanish Fairs (AFE).
In 2000, Fira de Lleida was transformed into a Foundation, a formula that allows optimizing the operational and economic management of the entity and giving a strong boost to the fair activity in the city.
Our functions
- Organize fairs and congresses of local, national and international scope.
- Manage the fairground, located on the left bank of the Segre river, in the heart of the city of Lleida.
- Collaborate with other economic activities in the territory.
Strategic axes
Consolidation, expansion and internationalization
The three lines of work that set the roadmap of the institution, presented to the Board of Trustees in June 2026.
Consolidation
Strengthen our own events and the work team, with special attention to the commercial area and communication of the institution.
Expansion
Grow in size and capacity with the project of the new fairground of 116,000 m², prepared for events of diverse formats.
Internationalization
Project the professional fairs —Sant Miquel, Eurofruit, Municipàlia and AgroBiotech Forum— beyond the borders of the State.
Stated objective: that Fira de Lleida becomes the third fair entity in the country and consolidates the city as the second fair capital of Catalonia.
